Goal 1:

We Want Markets

North Chicago, IL suffers from food desert ambiguity and healthy food apartheid. The Think Tank hopes to secure Four (4) black owned healthy food & drink education/source spaces throughout North Chicago, where citizens can gain access to gardening education, food prep consulting and healthy lifestyle education and mentoring.  

These centers will serve as a catalyst to drive future strategies aimed to support food based empowerment.

Goal 2:

We Want Land

North Chicago, IL suffers from white supremacy & systemic racism through underinvestment and lack of education & access in the form of land ownership. The Think Tank hopes to secure information regarding who actually owns land in North Chicago in hopes to create a smart strategy and education program to raise the amount of home owners in North Chicago.

Goal 3:

We Want Education

North Chicago, IL suffers from underinvestment and systemic racism in the form of education mismanagement and failed education leadership. The Think Tank hopes to secure two (2) black spaces dedicated to the development of black intellectualism and strength based imagination & innovation stimulation.

We Want Access To Nature

North Chicago, IL suffers from policy based oppression in the form of suppressing Black public joy in local parks, beaches, neighborhoods and public spaces. The Think Tank hopes to destroy the culture of policing loitering and  over labeling of young black youth as violent, troublesome and problematic by driving MORE citizens to public parks, beaches and space.

We Want To Be Healthy

North Chicago, IL suffers from white supremacy & systemic racism in the form of medical negligence. The Think Tank hopes to secure one full wing of our local medical and science research facility to provide non-biased and black women focused services and research to ensure black female citizens of North Chicago receive appropriate mental and physical health services.
